There's two particular subsets of macrophages that they characterize, one of them are called SCMs or small cavity macrophages. In black six mice have more cells with this LCM phenotype and these cells express more GATA6. They use CD30, CD73 as a downstream to GATA6 to as a kind of a proxy for the parasite response.
