The DC-3 was used as a spy plane by the Israelis for 20 years. It spent another 10 or 15 years on ready reserve in Belgium and France. The airplane has 9,600 hours of flying time before it is retired. "It could have an enormous life ahead of it," says Capt. Michael O'Leary.
