The Festival of Exploding Hammers

Fiesta de los martios explosivos is held every February in San Juan de la vega, Mexico. revellers tie explosives to large hammers and set them off with a blast so strong it sends people flying. Thousands come to witness the event, with over a hundred first responders standing by if things go wrong. One person was carried out on a stretcher after he hurt his leg in the blast.
