The Crucifixion of Christ

In verse 21 of chapter two of Genesis, what I hear Christ telling us loud and clear is, look at this verse in light of my death, burial and resurrection. So when you read Genesis chapter 2 and the creation of Eve from the side of Adam, you really see here foreshadowed already the creation of all of us as Christians. And we receive life from him as he gives us his own blood to drink in the Lord's Supper. In his water of baptism, in the blood of his Supper, he gives to us himself. As himself, he creates his bride, the church.
