The Roman Adoption of Christianity

Christianity rejects empire and praises those who are at the bottom of the pile. The paradox is that Christianity becomes the imperial cult over 2000 years. It's become the most hegemonic way of understanding the world humanity has ever devised. But there have always been Christians who've recognized that it's highly problematic.
