The History of Area 51

The term for flying saucer arose back in 1947 when pilot Kenneth Arnold tried to describe a mysterious shape he saw in the sky. He described their flight pattern as what it would be like to skip saucers across the water and the name stuck. After Arnold, loads of people started reporting sightings of these saucers around the country. Is it possible then that these planes have shaped the way we think about UFOs? It's possible.
