Witchcraft and Women's Sexuality

Witchcraft accusations in early modern europe were rife with sexual imagery, especially the recurring idea of witches copulating with the devil. But what's interesting is that the accusations at salem don't seem to have been so explicitly sexual in nature. The link between witchcraft and women's sexuality is one that goes back a long way.
