Jacob Hoegarten Headley and his wife separated after four years of marriage in 2009. He said he found it difficult to strike a balance between touring and family life. In 2010 they entertained a global TV audience with a performance at the closing ceremony of the Vancouver Winter Olympics. They went on to raise money for cancer research, donate musical instruments to local schools, and even travel to developing countries to help build schools there.
