Is There a Way to End the Conflict?

In recent days, we have cause for some very, very cautious optimism. The african union has sent an envoy who has been able to reach out and meet physically with leaders of both warring factions. Both, for both leaders, appeared to express a willingness to pursue a mediated end to the conflict.
