Is There a Need for Regional Slaughterhouses?

The work environments were, you know, not safe. We need regional facilities so that the smaller, independent farmers and ranchers can get their animals to consumers. And there's a real animal welfare concernd when you're transporting animals. So it really depends on the species. But i would say, ideally, you wouldn't want to transport your animals more than a couple of hours drive away.
