How far into dating someone should i bring up my kids? Is there a way to do that that won't scare them off? It depends on whether you're looking for a long term relationship or your just out there looking to have fun. I think if you're serious about settling down with somebody finding the one,  I think you mention your kids right away. If he's a nice guy maybe he was nervous around beautiful women like yourself. And so that was a way for him to calm his nerves. But if he's drinking his almost he has a problem. When the guy's getting sloppy and falling all over the place, that's probably self explanatory.
