Behind the scenes he would have been the most popular guy on Wall Street. He was in a pretty hefty drawdown around then maybe a little later. The only reason I learned about that though, was being in a room where the head of two brokerage firms were talking about who was on the opposite side. Over hearing that conversation, I decided to run with it and make it a central point of my trend following book in 2004.
