The Importance of Cold Storage in Mango Season
With so much supply farmers either have to accept a low price for their produce or they can't sell it. To keep their mangoes fresh until prices rise again farmers would need access to cold storage but many smallholders live in such remote areas of the country there's no electricity that could keep it running. So one of the things we've been trying to do is part of our outreach program is to introduce alternative technologies like charcoal.
