The Importance of Face to Face Conversations
I think he was already concerned with the ways in which even in and sort of the early internet context you know the body is displaced from human interaction. I would say perhaps that we needed to work to retain the face to face encounter as sort of fundamental to human relationships. He proposes this hospitality as a kind of solution which on some level seems wholly inadequate right but will lay up a foundation for us to build on.
