Ingalls and the Utopian Socialists
The last third of your piece or so is devoted to both Ingalls critique of this kind of thinking, but also he says there's some use to it. So yeah, bring in Fred for some enlightenment here. He wanted to give these utopian socialist credit. The utopian socialists like Fourier and Owen and Saint Simon were inspired by the French Revolution. But they forgot that to win socialism, it's going to have to come from the actual material class relationships of existence society.
