The Problem With Chatbots

The chatbots are like capricorders and we have an expression, garbage in, garbage out. So if a teenage boy writes all sorts of nonsense, some chatbot may pick up some of those fragments and incorporate it into an article. And so there's no fact checking to make sure that teenage boys don't run amok on the internet. I think self regulation is the way to go with fact checking. But rather than having politicians make the law, I would hope that the industry matures and realizes that it has to slow down. It has to self regulate or else some politician who will come in with a heavy handed sledgehammer and do the restrictions for it.
