A social engineering attack relies on someone's sense of reciprocity. They will ask for assistance after if somebody's been really nice to you. So you'll feel obligated to help because they did something for you. Scareware is just what it says, tries to scare you into action. For physical penetration of organizations, a really effective means is tailgating or piggybacking.
