Moslem Women and Veiling

Bad moslems, not surprisingly, and certainly in the post nine eleventh period, tend to get associated with violence, barbarism, terrorism. It's also the type of thing that a jack shehin covers in his a great, i believe, two thousand and six book, real bad arabs,. which was turned into a documentary. And so there has been this disproportionate emphasis on moslem women and veiling. One of the reasons is that it is a visible marker of otherness and a visible markers of moslemness. Another reason is that western liberal democracies have more rights for women than moslem majority countries do.
