Anne's Only Crime Is Not Having a Son
I firmly believe Anne's only crime, if you like, is not having a son. I don't think she would for a moment have contemplated adultery. The whole thing was nothing more than gossip and hearsay. There's no hard and fast evidence. Oh, and cited was the fact that Anne wrote to her brother to tell him that she was pregnant, Wolf. And, you know, what's in that? So none of it stands up. It would get nowhere near a court of law today."
