The Police Don't Do a Good Job

The 4th of August 1892 begins like a seemingly normal Thursday in the Borden household. Andrew Borden comes home for lunch earlier than usual because he's feeling unwell. The entire family had complained of upset stomachs the day before. Around 11, Lizzie finds her father slumped on the sofa at a very odd angle. Her stepmother Abby is found face down on the floor with multiple ax blows. Police officers find Lizzie odd, too calm, too poised they think. But there's no evidence to connect anyone to the time and place of the murder apart from Lizzie and Bridget the maid.
