Nuclear Reactor Detection
This radiation is one of the major hazards of a nuclear reactor. When these particles go through your body they cause all sorts of havoc, damage, dna and such like that. Is basically why nuclear power is so dangerous. It has never really been used like a guide counter in order to detect radiation wandering round. But if you apply magnetic field to this, a charged particle will be forced to go round a corner. You can work out its charge to mass ratio by how sharp a corner it goes round.
