The Civil Military Divide Discourse

There has not been a significant anti-war movement among veterans. Most of the turn against the war has been more like disenchantment, or it didn't work out the way it was supposed to. A real contradiction here in the civil military divide discourse is that the purpose of the US military fighting all these forever wars is to protect the American people from violence. That successfully achieved state of safety then leads to a dangerous innocence, which maybe that has deeper roots in American history.
