HTTPArchive.org has been running tests on the internet to look at what web pages are made of. It's a huge percentage of webpage content is images. In just the last 12 months, that has gone up by over 200k. And in five years, so since 2010, it's more than doubled. So imagine how much faster if you were using 2010's internet today on your mobile.
