Is the Market Setting Up Right?
Sorool: I hear this great chart that a lot of people are talking about, which shows the institutional a net calls or puts. It's not quite as dramatic as he made it look when you normalized it for the market, but it's still record amounts of puts being bought. If you've owned sort of crash protection, i the s and p out of the money has really not paid off much this year. So if you want to short this market, the more interesting way is to look at puts in a single stock space because you get much more convexity there.
