i'm disappointed that the biden administration chose to violate the norm of not appointing a recently retired military officer to be secretary of defence. A in in biden's pik um um, i was one of the co founders of the leadership counsel for women and national security. We had asked all the a presidential candidates to pledge to seek gender paroty in their senior national security appointments. I think this was a real opportunity.
