The Importance of Gut Level Intuitions

I think step one is to make people understand the profoundly gut level, intuitive, belief-driven level, that we argue these things about. I would say that you have gut level intuitions by which you navigate the world and it's just worth figuring out historically where they came from. And then I'd also want to press into the logical derivation of these things that it's not because I'm a highly evolved ape therefore I have human rights. It's that this is what humans are actually like. Does that make sense? It totally does.
