The Occasionally Weird Sound in a Language
A natural language will tend to have one or two odd things at least. How common is it for a language to have a stop series with the equivalent nasals? That's a bit weird because the velar nasal, everyone hates. It tends to disappear or only occur in very controlled environments. But there are some places like Australia, once again comes to mind, where every place of articulation will have a nasal equivalent. There doesn't seem anything remarkably strange about this language that jumped out at me - though you can see some applicatives on page 12.
