Grindel and the Monster Who Haunted the Darkened Fence
Grindel had been at it for 12 years, and he didn't waste time. Before the geets had time to wake from the sound of the door being torn off its hinges, Grindel was inside the meat hall leaving a trail of saliva behind him. Beowulf woke when Grindel took the first bite of his friend, and silently cursed himself for sleeping so long.
