How to Write a Story About a Single Mum

It's a very Australian story based on a young boy Jimmy who is unbeknownst to him at the start, running away from his father. And as life goes on, mum being a single mum now struggles with keeping everything going and starts suffering from depression. So it's up to Jimmy to keep the wheels turning, keep the money coming in and try and find that thing that will help mum get better. Even though she's suffering from depression, it's from Jimmy's point of view, he's such a vibrant, you know, chariot with a great outlook on life. I just absolutely loved his story.
