Mary Baker Eddy and the Christian Science Church

Mary Baker Eddy was a faith healer who dressed up her rather primitive beliefs with pseudo scientific pseudo philosophical mumbo jumbo that appealed to people at the dawn of the scientific industrial age. She said you can apply the love and power of God to your own health and healing the same way that someone else might apply the power of medical science to their health and healing. Christians have long believed that spiritual existence is more important than physical existence as this life on earth is only a brief and temporary prelude to eternal life elsewhere.
