Devon and Cornwall Rebellion
Between three and four thousand men were killed either in the fighting or a few in executions afterwards. Within 150 years of this rebellion the Cornish language had all but disappeared. Women and children are affected just as much as men according to Hooker. Cornwall's religious legacy has also been cut short after this desperate determined effort to defend the old faith is sort of cut off.
