Pearl Harbor and the Pearl Harbor Attack
Historian Robert lyman talks to us about the shock and outrage felt in America. He says there is no evidence that rosevelt knew japanese were going to attack church, as he did as they agreed to keep quiet about it. The public was so outraged by Pearl Harbour's attacks on america 'that war weariness never occurred', writes lyman. It also removed objections of a large isolationist movement which had been building up for some time - but this too died with pearl harbour.
