A lot of clothes are made of polyester, which is a kind of plastic. It takes 500 years for that to break down. Even wool or cotton sometimes have a small amount of polyester in them. Face masks will take up to 450 years to decompose. Plastic cups only take one year because it comes from a tree called the rubber tree. And also plastic straws. But I've tried these newer versions of environmentally friendly straws. They're not as smooth but better than paper ones.
