It originally started in New York City, but I think more people around the country are having these on the 4th of July in their towns. The time limit is 10 minutes and it's just basically how many hot dogs you can eat in 10 minutes. It seems like every grandmother has a recipe for potato salad. You will almost always hear a native English speaker say mayo.
