The 14th Amendment and the Debt Ceiling
There have been talks of different workarounds to get around the concept of having a debt ceiling, even in the first place. Ravi Agrawal: There's there's really common sense things that you can do here and I think the unspent COVID-19 funds would be the most obvious one. But then also a potential that Biden could point to the 14th amendment, which says the validity of public debt authorized by law shall not be questioned. And this would allow Biden to say that failing to make payments that they promised is unconstitutional based on this amendment.
