Ask for the other person's path, talking tentatively, and then encourage testing. Encourage testing is basically you're encouraging them to be able to share more of their path. This is something that I've done in conversations, and it's a way of exploring the other person’s path. If you each are doing that, if you feel safe and you feel like you both have each other's backs because you're not just in it for you. And so these techniques really help you do that.
