The Four Rules of Being a Craftsman
The first rule is work deeply. The second rule was embrace boredom and that's what we're just talking about. This is about weaning your mind from a addiction to novel stimuli so that it's actually able to get better at concentrating. And the third rule, which kind of goes hand in hand, is called quit social media. If you're going to be a craftsman, you have to be very selective about the tools you let into your life. It's not enough that a tool has some benefit or there might be something you might miss out if you don't use it. So you have to become much more selective.
