CJ was 17 when he was shot in South Philadelphia and had a bullet removed from his body. He staggered into my dad's office three weeks later, unable to walk because of the pain. CJ got arrested for a different shooting six days later but they didn't charge him until 11 years later. The most shocking thing was just how incompetent CJ's attorney was, says Obeidallah.
