The Ritual of the High Priest
The main figure in the ritual is obviously the high priest. He has to bathe, wear again, a lot of linen, linen coat, linen turbin, linen sash. The implication is that these linen garments are prepared for this occasion specifically. Aaron also has to provide a bull for the sin or the purification, the decontamination offering,. his own bull from his own herd.
