When you stop paying for the policy, did you just lose everything? You put into the policy, go to zero. Was there some benefit? Were you able to extract some value from the policy and closing it down? I don't remember what the exact amount was because this was a small policy. It's not like it's been a good investment. In years you tied your money up and you have a negative return on it. That's hard to get excited about it as an investment. If you've had a long enough to have a gain, you may want to keep it.
