How would mediaeval people have gone about hunting whales? We needer, we nede, archaeology specialist on technology to tell us more. Beavers in the mediaeval period were am were a bit like what we've talked about with cranes. They're fur was really highly prized and their skins could be stroked ever away. And perhaps also because it was so big, in comparison to other fur bearing animals,. If you think of how many little weasels you'd have to kill to make a coat, compared to how many beavers, i suppose it makes sense that the beaver skins is so much more popular.
