This seems to be the least likely of all scenarios we've discussed so far today. Body doubles and faith healing are far more intricate than mind control as bizarre as that sounds. There was never a reported death at Jones Town before November 18th, so a dead body would have been a huge deal. And Jim Jones had so many ticks and unique traits, I think it would have been too difficult to bring in an imposter.
