The Pricker Experiment to Create Galton's Beauty Map
Eugenics was a system of using statistical methods, what we would call now statistical methods. And they used data to explain away and locate it instead in a kind of biological destiny into an argument about these things not being a structural problem, but being,. you know, a justified expression of natural heredity. So that Pricker experiment to create Galton's beauty map of the British Isles, which is what he fucking called it, actually then becomes translated into a lot of the observations that become the basis for work that starts to create large matrices of feeble mindedness.
