Teachers Union Solidarity Is a Big Part of It
A, i think a big chunk of it has to do with the fact that the culture of teachers unions is that the most radical and recalcitrant and the worst apples require solidarity from all the other apples in the barrel. I we speculated that it was partly because the school districts are so fragmented, you didn't really get any so sensible collective decision making. But that's pure speculation on my part. Whatever the case, it's not good for america's children. They've had to an tok of their parents either, frankly,. but they have to be a, you know, shu sort of learning from home for so much of the time.
