The Evolution of Hydras

All kinds of lizards can regenerate, but not all lizards can. Crocodiles and snakes don't seem to be able to. iguanas, geckos, salamanders, larval frogs and toads have demonstrated the ability to regenerate. Researchers at Arizona State University were able to pinpoint the genes responsible for anole lizard tail regeneration. They also found that nearly all of those 326 genes are present in us in human beings as well.
