I suspect what we are seeing in the bond market and the mortgage market with the spread widening is all about this debt ceiling nonsense. Danielle DiMartino-Booth basically said Janet Yellen is trying to create a sense of urgency. She should light a fire under Congress and the president to work something out,. get this behind us, so we can once again remove, frankly, a self-imposed obstacle that we just don't need in this environment.
