The Sacred Texts of the Middle Ages
The theory of the globe isn't controversial by the Middle Ages. But how does that fit in with pre-existing teachings and texts from the world's major religions? Is it not a contradiction? I think it's very clear that the people who wrote the Bible or the Vedas or the Quran assumed that the earth resembled traditional cosmology, they assumed it was flat.
