One of the key moments was in 19 75 when about a hundred sex workers occupied a church in leon in france to protest police brutality. And they stayed there,. if i think it was ten days, demanding that they spoke to representatives from the government. They never got to but their protest garnered national, world wide attention and every day that still marked as international haws day - second of june.
