Professional history and the social web have a very fundamental different set of values embedded within them. Experts are perceived, in the professional dissimlit of history, to be at the centre of communicative power. The web is set up to empower users a whether they be experts or not. It is user centric. Users can speak, users can dictate how their experience goes. And so i argue in the book that the e history on line that is more experts centric, struggles to achieve visibility and influence.
