Metallica: A Review

Jason played with a pick instead of his fingers to get maximum volume. He didn't have much of a classical background or anything so as a result he didn't really know how to write bass lines that serve as a counterpoint to what the guitar is doing. The attack of the pick on the bass strings makes a kind of clicking sound when you play with a lot of force and that click sits really well in a heavy metal mix. justice for all from being my favorite metallica album it's my number one.
